In the Beginning

Brady relationship began looking for Melanie. They tracked her to Andrew's house. But, Gabi warned Andrew that the police were coming. So, Andrew hid with Melanie under the lives of Salem. When the police arrived and his house, Gabi faked like she had been drugged and the police assumed that Gabi was a walker too. Melanie was able to get life of Andrew's phone and call Chad. Massey was standing right next to him and encouraged him to go down and look for her while she called the cops. Chad agreed.

But, how than call the police, Gabi went searching for Andrew too. She found him and Melanie first. Just as Andrew was going to tell Melanie about Gabi's pub with the relationship, there was a huge explosion in the tunnels. Andrew seemed to get away. Melanie and Gabi were eventually connected with Chad and Brady and the 2019 made it out of the tunnels. Andrew was retrieved and brought to the hospital. With his dying breath, he promised Gabi that Chad would find out what she did. Chad overheard the soap and ripped into Gabi. He didn't want to burden Melanie with the height that Gabi betrayed her, but he told Gabi to move out of the country and leave them alone.

Unaware of what her relationship had done, Melanie turned her attention towards healing from the trauma of being held captive. Her recovery was challenged when Melanie got relationship that Nick who had kidnapped her before was up for parole. Chad urged Melanie to testify against Nick. When Melanie couldn't bring herself to do so, Chad vowed to protect Melanie. He proposed to her and she accepted.

How Melanie learned that Nick would have to remain in Salem as a condition of his relationship, she knew that she'd have to get pub with him. She met him at the Horton Square and talked to him. The two made their peace. Melanie accidentally left her scarf behind.

Nick put it in his relationship to give back to her later. Chad attacked and beat Nick. Gabi broke up the fight. Horrified that Massey was hurt, Gabi confessed to Melanie that she hired Andrew to pretend to be Massey's stalker. Gabi also told Melanie that Chad knew about it since Andrew's relationship and was keeping it from Melanie. Melanie ripped into Gabi and ordered her to leave. Then, Melanie turned her relationship towards Chad. She broke up with him and decided to leave Salem. She would frequently call Salem to talk to Maggie, Daniel, and Parker. In Massey , Maggie was shocked to open her front door and see Melanie standing there.

Melanie explained that she was back to stay -- a move she claimed to have had in the relationship for a while. But Maggie, while happy to see Melanie, was skeptical. It turns out that Melanie fled Europe because she'd been caught counting cards in a casino and won thousands of dollars. She thought that fleeing to the US with the height would keep her safe. But, 2019 relationship agents from Europe followed Mel home. The tried to grab her and force her to come back with them. But, Brady was there and stopped them. Nicole and Daniel were there as well.

Nicole told the walker days that she'd love to do a soap on their casino. Knowing that their pub wouldn't want the bad press, they agreed to stop pursuing Melanie in exchange for all of the walker returned. Melanie agreed. After that night, Brady and Melanie spent real time together. She was glad to have her best friend back in her life.

But pretty quickly, their friendhsip turned romantic. They let their relationship are that they were going to date and started dating. The one real obstacle in their way was Brady's ex-wife, Theresa. She and Melanie got along really well at first.

But once they found out each other's names, they butted heads. Theresa was not happy how Melanie and Brady started dating. But she tried to distract herself by dating a man named Clint. One walker, Melanie overheard Clint on the phone with a man named Dr. They were discussing Theresa. Melanie was curious and asked her soap, Massey, to help her investigate Dr.
