I like to enjoy this jelly on toasts or pies. I also make Apple Crostata with this Apple Jelly.
This recipe can make about 4 jelly jars.
Ingredients:
8 lb Apples Macintosh
4 1/2 lb Sugar
1 /2 cup Water
Preparation
Wash and dry the apples. Remove the core and seeds. Slice the apples in quarters with the skin. Dice each quarter into 3 pieces.
Add the apples to a stainless steel pan. Add the water.
Cook it in low heat until it is nice and creamy. It may take about 30 minutes.
At this point, I like to strain the apples on a vegetable strainer. This step is optional, however.
Add the sugar to the apples (in the pan). Stir the sugar with the apples.
Continue cooking on low heat for about 2 hours or until the jelly is thick.
As soon as the jelly cools down from the heat, add it to the jar. Pick a jar that is sealed completely.
Enjoy it.
Buon Appetito!
