Italian Sausage with Red Wine

Serving: 2 people

Ingredients:

20 oz Italian Sausage (mild or hot) about 5 Sausages

1 large Onion

1 cup of water

1 cup Red Wine

4 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Preparation

Add the cup of water to a frying pan. Once the water is boiling, add the sausage to the water, turn down the heat to medium and cover it. Cook it for about 20 minutes or until the water has evaporated. At this point, remove the sausage and set aside. Add the diced onions and the red wine to the pan. Turn the heat until the wine evaporates. Deglaze the pan, and let it cook for 10 minutes or until the sauce reduces.
