Baked Dried Figs with Walnuts. This is an easy dessert which makes for a quick holiday delight. I cook this dessert for Christmas every year and it has been a tradition passed on to me from my mother. I hope you enjoy it as much as my family does.
Ingredients
1 bag (14oz) dried figs
1/2 walnut for each fig
dark chocolate (optional)
Preparation
Open the figs in half. Add 1/2 walnut inside the figs. You can also add a small piece of dark chocolate inside the fig.
Press it to close. Repeat the process for all the figs. Add it to a baking sheet and cook for 15 minutes in 350F.
A good glass of Prosecco wine will go well with this dessert.
